Demolition of "Butler Building" Marks First Step for Queen of the Valley Medical Future Plans

05/04/2010

(Napa, CA) – Queen of the Valley Medical Center has announced it will be demolishing its familiar "Butler Building" on the north side of the medical center campus, in order to make way for future hospital expansion. The facility, which has been used primarily for storage and maintenance, is scheduled for removal later this month.

In the future, the hospital plans to use this general area for much-needed expanded facilities. "Demolishing this older building allows us to use the campus footprint more strategically" commented Chief Operating Officer Walt Mickens. "Planning is rapidly moving forward and the site is being prepared for expansion. We anticipate announcements to the community in the near future regarding our plans."
