Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange and Queen of the Valley Medical Center Host Outreach Event to Spread Awareness of Their Mission

(Napa, CA) – The Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, in partnership with Queen of the Valley Medical Center (QVMC), are pleased to invite the public to an informal panel and discussion on Saturday afternoon, June 18th from 2-4 p.m. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of the mission and ministries of the Sisters of St. Joseph, to provide candid answers about their lifestyle and vocation, and to invite women who might be considering religious life to expand their understanding of this congregation.

The event will be take place at 2295 Big Ranch Road in Napa. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served. There is no cost, but advance registration is appreciated by calling 1-877-QUEEN-LINE (1-877-783-3654).

The panel will include representatives of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange working in education, healthcare and other ministries throughout California. Following a brief prayer and reflection, panelists will speak on all aspects of their calling, their work and their community life. Participants will then be invited to a dialogue on the sisters’ everyday life, and the challenges and joys that it presents. They may raise questions on any aspect of the lifestyle and ministries, and the presenters will offer a straightforward and candid response.

For women interested in further exploration, the event will offer information on how they may further address their own questions and concerns – about vocations in general, or about this particular congregation. For the past 350 years, the Sisters of St. Joseph have been a driving force in education, healthcare and other ministries throughout this region and the world, reaching out to serve people and communities that experience a need. The staff at Queen of the Valley Medical Center continues to be inspired and nurtured each day by their vision, commitment, and determination.
