Heart Safe Sidewalk CPR

NAPA, CA—The Queen's Heart Safe Program and Napa City Fire will conduct free hands-only CPR and AED training on June 7th from 11 AM – 2 PM in the Dwight Murray Plaza. Instructors from Napa City Fire, Queen of the Valley Medical Center, The Via Foundation, American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Napa CPR, Angwin Community Ambulance, American Medical Response Ambulance, and Napa County Emergency Medical Services will be on hand to train the public and nearby business staff to perform hands-only CPR and operate an automated external defibrillator (AED).

The Queen's Heart Safe Program helps to increase the survival rate from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) in Napa County. Through the partnership, nearly 20 AEDs have been installed throughout Napa County to date with plans to install at least 24 more each year.

ABOUT THE QUEEN'S HEART SAFE PROGRAM

The Queen's Heart Safe Program is a collaboration between several agencies with a goal of increasing the survival rate from SCA by placing automated external defibrillators (AEDs), teaching CPR, and providing long-term program management solutions to businesses, organizations, and schools throughout the county.
