Napa, Calif., Dec. 30, 2013 – Queen of the Valley Medical Associates (QVMA) will add two physicians to the group effective Monday, Jan 6. Dr. George Friedman and Dr. John Hart Jr. will specialize in family medicine and internal medicine respectively. This new partnership will increase the total number of physicians practicing with the group to 18. Both Dr. Friedman and Dr. Hart are existing physicians in Napa and will move their current practice at 3230 Beard Rd., Suite B in Napa, around the corner, to 1100 Trancas Street, Suite 350.
The following specialists will now see patients as part of QVMA which partners with St. Joseph Heritage Healthcare medical practice foundation and Queen of the Valley Medical Center:
George Friedman, MD
Dr. Friedman is board certified in family medicine. He has had the unique opportunity of serving in the United States Air Force for more than 17 years, where he served as flight surgeon and Chief of Aerospace Medicine on deployments to Germany and Iraq. Dr. Friedman attended medical school at University of Iowa and completed his family practice residency in Merced, California. Dr. Friedman still currently serves as Commander of the 349th Medical Squadron in the Air Force Reserves and has maintained a private practice in Napa for more than 25 years.
John Hart Jr., MD
Dr. Hart is board certified in internal medicine. He earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Tennessee and completed his internship and residency at Highland General Hospital in Oakland where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Hart has also had the unique opportunity of serving in the Air Force Alaska Air National Guard, and was part of a critical care air transport team on a deployment to Iraq. Dr. Hart still currently serves in the Air Force Reserves at Travis Air Force Base and has maintained a private practice in Napa for the past four years.
