Support Groups

Research from Stanford University has demonstrated that people who actively participate in a cancer support groups have a significantly longer life expectancy. Support groups meet regularly at Queen of the Valley to share ideas, resources and to help one another through the cancer experience.

  • Bosom Buddies (available in English and Spanish) is a particularly popular group supporting women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
  • The Cancer Support Group provides a place for patients with any type of cancer diagnosis to gather. Caregivers are also welcome to attend.
  • Young Women Facing Breast Cancer Together brings young survivors to discuss their experiences with others their age.
  • A Prostate Cancer Support Group provides a place for men to gather and discuss their experiences.
