Queen of the Valley Renovates Acute Rehabilitation Center

On Tuesday, March 20, 2018, Queen of the Valley Medical Center welcomed patients and caregivers to a “refreshed” Acute Rehabilitation Center. Caregivers at Queen of the Valley attended a ribbon cutting Tuesday morning to celebrate the renovations, which included a new nursing station, flooring, fresh paint, and refurbished bathrooms. These renovations create a warm and calming environment for patients, visitors and caregivers alike.

This 14-bed inpatient unit is dedicated to rehabilitating patients after traumatic events, neurological disorders, such as stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries and other injuries/illnesses. Rehabilitation team members at the Queen’s Acute Rehabilitation Center maximize a patient’s functionality, mobility and independence and help to improve overall quality of life.

St. Joseph Health, Queen of the Valley, and its sister hospital, Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, offer the only inpatient acute rehabilitation units that serve the North Bay.
