Women's Services

At the Napa Valley Women’s Healthcare Center, we believe that good health begins with good communication between you and your healthcare providers.  We therefore encourage you to form an active partnership with us when you make an appointment to discuss your care.  Feel free to ask any questions at any time in order to assist us in addressing your most personal health needs.

Outpatient Women’s Services

We offer a full range of obstetrical and gynecological care.  This includes both surgical and medical approaches to your health.  We specialize in minimally invasive surgery with many outpatient procedures and short hospital stays.  Our minimally invasive robotic surgery program is among the most recognized in the United States, with the same day or one day stay in the hospital.

We are happy to provide total obstetrical services including low risk and high risk pregnancies.   Frequently addressed issues include cancer prevention and detection, endocrinology evaluation (hormones), pre-conception counseling, menstrual disorders, premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and menopausal counseling and treatment.  Our physicians perform a number of procedures in the office setting, such as diagnostic Hysteroscopy, Sonography, Colposcopy, Cryosurgery, and LEEP.

Our Healthcare Providers

Our board-certified physicians have specialized training in all areas of obstetrics and gynecology.  Their interests include infertility, ultra sonography and high-risk pregnancy such as diabetes and multiple pregnancies.  Our doctors are highly trained in gynecological surgery including hysterectomy, endometrial ablation, laparoscopic and other surgeries as well.

Beyond hospital duties, we participate in local fundraising and special events.  As parents and family members, as well as healthcare professionals, we know good health is essential to a full and happy life and we are committed to maintaining your good health.  As part of this commitment, we are dedicated to continuing education regarding the latest technological treatments available.

Making Appointments

We have two offices conveniently located, one in Napa and one in American Canyon.  Your process of care begins when you call either office to make your appointment.  We will ask you the nature of the appointment, personal information and insurance information and then set a convenient time for your visit.  Feel free to ask for educational materials concerning your particular health needs or use the integrated health tools provided within this website.

Routine Appointments

On your first visit, please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.  This allows plenty of time to complete the registration and insurance verification process.  We do suggest you check with your insurance company to confirm that our providers are accepted within your network of providers or there may be a written referral required by your primary care physician.

Surgical Procedures

In the event of surgery, our surgery coordinator will assist you in preparation for your procedure.  She will arrange a surgery date and coordinate lab work and any other preoperative tests you may need.  She will also assist you in coordinating your healthcare benefits for your surgery.

Billing and Fees

Office visit fees are determined by the nature of your visit.  Payments for office visits including Co-payments, deductibles, and share of cost that are due at the time of service.  We accept cash, check and VISA, Master Card, American Express and Discover.  We do offer a 30 percent discount to self pay patients.

We are contracted with most Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO’s) and Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO’s) in the area.  If we are a preferred provider in your network we can bill the company directly.  However, most HMO’s do require a written referral from your primary care physician. If you feel as though you have an urgent health matter and do not have sufficient health care coverage we do offer financial assistance for those who qualify.   We do ask that you verify benefit coverage prior to your appointment. Ultimately you are responsible for the bill.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact our billing office at (707) 251-1825.

Thank you for choosing Napa Valley Women’s Healthcare Center.  Quality and safety are important to us and we hope you are satisfied with your care.  If you have any questions or safety concerns please do not hesitate to contact the Director of Clinic Services at (707) 251-3632
