Queen of the Valley Medical Center Welcomes Dr. Mai-Phuong Nguyen


Napa, CA - Dr. Mai-Phuong Nguyen is a board certified internist who comes to Napa from Southern California where she trained at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine as well as completed her internal medicine residency at UCLA.  Dr. Nguyen has expertise in all aspects of general internal medicine but in particular, she has special interests in Women’s and Men’s Health, preventive as well as complementary medicine.  She has worked extensively in underserved communities domestically and abroad in Mexico, Latin America, India, Vietnam and more recently on the Pacific Island of Guam.  She is trilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese and English. 

Known for her commitment to patient education and community building, this fall, she begins her graduate studies toward a Master’s in Public Health at UCLA.  Eventually, her goal is to affect health policy and programs that make quality health care accessible to all sectors of society.

Her many personal interests include: cycling, yoga, cooking, scuba diving, creative writing and her favorite 5 F’s: family, friends, food, film and fish.  Dr. Mai-Phuong Nguyen is eager to become an integral member of the community and enjoy the healthy, good life that Napa has to offer.

Queen of the Valley Medical Center is a catholic, non-profit medical campus located at 1000 Trancas Street in Napa.  The facility consists of a 191-bed hospital, outpatient centers for maternity and infant care, surgery and procedures, diagnostic imaging, and wellness/rehabilitation/health promotion.
