    Biography

Dr. Tawhid R. Gazi was born and raised in Connecticut where his Dad, also a gastroenterologist, is still in practice. He received his education from Tufts University in Boston, where he completed a residency in internal medicine followed by a fellowship in interventional gastroenterology. He is qualified to provide full spectrum GI care, from screening colonoscopies to complex pancreatic procedures. His personal philosophy is to provide collaborative care to all his patients in a warm community environment that still offers all the cutting edge therapies of an academic center. His particular interests include Endoscopic Ultrasound and Endoscopic weight loss (Orbera) which both achieve excellent results while sparing patients invasive surgeries, hospital stays, and scars. He is fluent in Spanish.

I literally spent about five minutes with Dr. Gazi and I don't know if this is because of what is allotted for Medicare patients or he was just very busy that day. He was my surgeon and this was a follow-up appointment.

Dr. Gazi seems very rushed. I do not think it appropriate that he kept referring to me as "buddy." That does not give me much confidence.

Dr Gazi sat and talked with me. His computer was not a participant in this visit. Very, very nice. Most doctors these days are typing away on the computer for most of a visit and I'm never sure if they hear anything I say and/or I feel if I speak I will be interrupting their computer task and must wait until they are finished to speak.

Provider does not seem to be taking enough time or applying enough knowledge or research to understand what is happening and how to treat my condition(s). After visits, I feel less sure of what condition I have then before the visit. Provider is being too narrow.
