(Napa, CA) – Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer, other than skin cancer, in women. More than 41,000 women die each year of this unfortunately frequent disease.
On Wednesday, October 21st Join Queen of the Valley medical center patients, staff and special guests to raise awareness for breast cancer and celebrate the heroes who have survived this deadly disease.
Acclaimed actress Charlotte Stewart, a breast cancer awareness advocate and survivor of the disease, will be sharing her experiences at this important event. Charlotte, who lives in Napa with her husband, has appeared in more than 200 films and television shows including Tremors, Little House on the Prairie, Eraserhead and Twin Peaks.
Other cancer survivors and health care professionals will join Charlotte in a panel discussion sharing their experiences with battling and surviving this life threatening disease.
In addition, attendees are invited to take a tour of the Women’s Imaging Center, and medical experts from the Queen will provide valuable insights on treatment and recovery.
