Napa, CA — The Queen just launched a free, 24/7 phone-based physician referral service for the community, as a complement to the "physician locator" service currently available on the Queen’s website, www.thequeen.org. This new service will make it easier and more convenient for Napa Valley residents to select a QVMC physician or specialist that can meet their individual healthcare needs, as well as become acquainted with the Queen’s broad range of high-quality medical and wellness services.
The service, available at 1-877-QUEEN LINE (1-877-783-3654), will feature a friendly, knowledgeable operator, who will use comprehensive, physician-specific profiles, to closely match a QVMC physician with a caller’s individual needs and preferences, such as office location, insurance accepted, and language spoken, among other characteristics. Whether a patient is looking for a family physician after just moving into the area, or trying to find a specialist to perform a particular procedure, he or she will be able to find a highly qualified, credentialed physician through the Queen’s referral service.
Participation in the referral service is open to any member of the QVMC medical staff, and referrals will be determined by the patient’s needs and wants. The service is expected to benefit consumers needing to find a physician, to enhance and give greater visibility to the practices of QVMC medical staff, and to connect patients with what resources the Queen has to offer. Queen of the Valley will be utilizing the 1-877-QUEENLINE (1-877-783-3654) for other purposes, too, such as registration of community members for the Queen’s health education classes and community health oriented seminars.
"Having one phone number where patients can call to find a physician, request more information about services, sign up for classes, and perhaps even someday to schedule appointments for hospital services, provides a valuable all-in-one information resource for patients and gives us a fantastic way to measure the effectiveness of our outreach efforts," says Jaime Peñaherrera, Director of Marketing, Communications and Public Relations. "We will be able to follow the process of what could be a patient’s first encounter with Queen of the Valley, through to his or her choice to utilize our services."
