LEVEL III REGIONAL TRAUMA CENTER

 

Queen of the Valley Medical Center is the only medical facility in the Napa Valley designated a Level III Trauma Center by the State of California.  This distinction means we are equipped to handle everything from minor lacerations and smoke inhalation to the most serious multiple injured trauma victims. 

 

Queen of the Valley is also equipped with a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab, ready to treat heart attacks at a moment's notice.  Physicians who are board certified in emergency medicine provide 24 hour coverage in the Emergency Department, while more than 100 medical and surgical specialists are on-call around the clock.  The Queen also serves as the base station for Napa County emergency services connecting emergency ground vehicles, the California Highway Patrol and Med-Evac helicopters.  A helicopter landing pad is located just outside Emergency Department doors.
